Here I share anything that inspired me and helped me move forward in my journey…I hope it inspires you too! 🙂
“She never seemed shattered; to me, she was a breathtaking mosaic of the battles she’s won.” – Matt Baker
“Grow through what you go through.”
“Take a moment. Sit back. Marvel at your life: at the grief that softened you, at the heartache that wisened you, at the suffering that strengthened you. Despite everything, you still grow. Be proud of this.”
Below are poems from “Milk and Honey” by Rupi Kaur. This book really spoke to me on many levels. I am not big into poetry, but I definitely recommend this!
“Stay strong through your pain, grow flowers from it. You have helped me grow flowers out of mine so bloom beautifully, dangerously, loudly. Bloom softly. However you need…just bloom.”
“I thank the universe for taking everything it has taken, and giving to me everything it is giving.”
“I know it’s hard, believe me. I know it feels like tomorrow will never come and today will be the most difficult day to get through, but I swear you will get through. The hurt will pass as it always does. If you give it time and let it…so let it go slowly, like a broken promise. Let it go.”
“Your body is a museum of natural disasters. Can you grasp how stunning that is?”
“You look at me and cry “Everything hurts.” I hold you and whisper, “But everything can heal.”
“The world gives you so much pain and here you are making gold out of it.”
“Every night her thoughts weighed heavily on her soul, but every morning she would get up to fight another day, every night she survived.” -R.H. Sin
“She wasn’t born herself. She found herself over a long and treacherous road. And the more treacherous the road became, the more of herself she found.”
“One day you will look back and see that all along you were blooming.” -Morgan Harper Nichols
“Look down at your body, whisper there is no home like you.” -Rupi Kaur (The Sun and Her Flowers)
“It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself, I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole.” -Rupi Kaur (The Sun and Her Flowers)
“Tonight won’t be easy, and you know that. I know it hurts, but the pain is necessary. Everything meant to break you down will build you up, and you’ll become stronger.” -r.h. sin, something for this night.
“She was the flame that no one could put out. Refusing to be taken lightly, she was driven by all the things that caused her pain. And what failed to weaken her flames became fuel. She is you.” -r.h. sin, she, flame.
“Your strength is your magic. Never lose it.” -r.h. sin, deep within.
“The women who smile the most are often the ones who experience the deepest pain. She doesn’t wear that smile to deceive others, she smiles because it is a symbol is strength.” -r.h. sin, an observation I.
